Astralla uses a limited set of local storage technologies to provide the service. This page explains which ones, why, and how to manage them.
Essential cookies
Two items are stored in localStorage: a visit identifier (`astralla-session-id`) and your cookie choice (`astralla-cookie-consent`). The visit identifier holds neither your name nor your contact details, but it is specific to your browser and links the steps of your journey together: it is pseudonymous data, not anonymous. It is required for the funnel to work and cannot be disabled without breaking the service.
Analytics cookies
As long as you have not accepted, no measurement script is loaded and no measurement cookie is set. If you accept, we load PostHog (PostHog Inc.), an audience measurement tool whose servers, as we use them, are located in the European Union (eu.i.posthog.com). PostHog then sets a `ph_…_posthog` cookie lasting 12 months containing a browser identifier, and receives your IP address, the pages you view and your actions in the funnel (chosen domain, cards drawn, step reached, language). We send it neither your name, nor your email, nor your phone number, nor your date of birth. You can refuse without any impact on the service. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, no measurement takes place, even if you accepted.
